Commentary
Scene taken from chapter number forty-five where Watanabe no Tsuna encountering the demon woman at Modori Bridge at Ichijô in Kyoto. From the series Heroic Comparisons for the Chapters of Genji (Buyu Nazorae Genji). The publisher was Iba-ya Sensaburô, circa 1843. [Text prepared for exhibition- FromTtheatre and Teahouse (2007)]
